05 DECEMBER ’24

dear reader,

it’s been a beautiful few weeks, mostly because i got the first copies of the lamb in hardback. i hope i never forget how i felt when i first pulled it out from the envelope because, to be earnest, i’ve never felt pride in that way. it was an incredibly joyful moment.

late in november, i was invited to the orion showcase – where there was a meaty display waiting for me. my favourite item was an incredibly detailed human heart. but there were also finger bookmarks and cupcakes to match.

wishing you a wonderful winter season.

13 NOVEMBER ’24

dear reader,

i love this time of year because the world smells like gun powder, sparklers and fireworks, and there is the promise of rebellion in the air. and i’ve been feeling rebellious too (in my own small ways). as the end of the year creeps up on me, i have this nervous impulse to do as much as i can before the end of the year, but i’ve taken a step back from my projects this month to rest and revive (even if i’m feeling really excited about a rogue book idea i don’t really have time to start yet).

this month, i’m feeling grateful for the love people have given to the lamb. i didn’t expect the debut experience to pull at my anxiety, and seeing the lovely things said about my novel (and the lovely pictures people have taken) has made me smile every day.
